What's the best fish you've caught on a kayak?

Fish the kelp beds for lings, rockfish and kelp bass. I have done pretty well with those.

I haven't caught it yet... my target fish is redfish, snook or trout, i'm hoping to catch one real soon! I should be able to go out on the kayak for fishing again in two weeks! I'll update this post if i catch one!

Definitely slot Red Drum in the marsh.  Love having them or Trout hit a lure cast near the grass.  Seeing them bust the water is awesome.  Near shore in ocean a decent sized blue fish is a great fight.
