What do you do to keep your knife sharp and rust free?

Wash it clean of salt, dry it and dont put it in its sheath until your sure everything is dry. Get a Titanium knife, It won't rust, its light too.

what George said. To clean it, don't use any chemicals either as it can cause your knife to rust. If you see a rust spot someone told me that using lemon juice and water can help remove it, but don't use chemicals... i've never tried it so I can't say if that works. for sharpening, just a normal knife sharpener works, but i haven't had a need to sharpen any of my knifes yet.

I always rinsed cleaned dried and then sprayed with WD40 , never had a problem.

Even with my titanium blades, I rinse well, dry well, and use a light coating of WD40.
