I have one and I set my wife up with one as well. Love it wouldn't think of not having one. I like the functionality and streamline it gives eliminating a hose. One of the overlooked highlights is the large easy to use buttons and the quick connect is much larger than others which makes it easy even with gloves. as far as care, I rinse and flush it well after each dive never had a problem. One advice is I ask the repair tech to detune it a bit so it doesn't freeflow on the surface, only happened once luckily its an easy adjustment.

Good for you as a repair tech I very seldom see then in good shape and yes they are detuned to keep from free flowing when you first jump in. Also if you change 1st stages make sure your at the same IP as it was tuned too.

I would guess people forget it is an octo and forget when getting their reg service done that it needs to go in as well. I take the whole bc in and they give it a full service, why wouldn't you? It is very easy to clean too.

Yes, love it. After diving I attach regulator and BCD to a tank and thoroughly rinse with fresh water with regulator under pressure and soak in freshwater. Remove from BCD, let it air dry remove from BCD and store in regulator bag.
