What are some ways you hang your gear on travel, assuming you don't take hangers?

Depends on if I'm at a full-service resort where they have a dedicated location to hang gear (they'll usually also have hangers available), or if I'm on a liveaboard boat or in a hotel room. The one liveaboard boat I've been on had what I thought was a pretty neat "ladder" of PVC pipes in a shaded area on the top deck where we could hang our BCDs and wetsuits out of the sun, but still in a breezy area where gear could dry quickly. In a hotel room, I'll inflate my rinsed BCD and leave it sitting on a towel. I often bring my own wetsuit hanger with me (stronger than hotel hangers and it doesn't add that much extra weight to my bag!) and hang my rinsed wetsuit on the shower head until it stops dripping, then move it to a breezier place. Once, my roommate and I were in a mini-cabin with a shaded front porch; for that, I unclipped my BCD shoulder straps, threaded them around the top porch rail and reclipped them to hang it from the railing.

Over the bath rail or curtain rod.  I also bring some parachute cord and have strung it between door hinges and bath fixtures in a pinch.

Fortunately, the resort and dive operations we use out of town have a nice place to rinse and hang gear until we get home and give it a thorough cleaning. For quick trips to the beach we have a large bin that fits in the back of the car. We rinse our gear on the boat or dive shop when we can and use the bin to hold and allow it to drain until we get home.

I often will rinse gear in a hotel tub and prop it up around the tub/bathroom to dry.

Once in Mexico we were hanging our gear off a second story porch. Some how either a piece of gear either blew off or someone else had access to the porch. Either way we lost some of our dive gear. Once in Monterey we were diving from our zodiac when a passing bye person reach into our boat taking a move mask just after we had pulled it out of the water.

I dont hang mine when I travel. I rinse it and put it back in a mesh duffle and put towels under it if its on carpet. If I have a balcony I put it there in the duffle. I am seldom gone more than a week.
