I've only been spear fishing once and I used the pole version (Hawaiian sling i think it was called) - I liked it, i felt like it was less complicated than if I used an actual gun, but then again, i haven't tried the gun yet to compare. Would like to do more spear fishing in the future, especially for Lion Fish...
