We have always keep our membership to DAN current. You never know when or where you might need their help.

Yes. My wife and I dove Kona and when we returned to our room, she had bad knee pain.  We called DAN and were sent through to talk to a doctor.  He determined she was fine and the pain was unrelated to diving. Gave some advice to take care of the pain and she was fine. Good piece of mind.  I must say that anyone diving should invest in DAN insurance.   I know a couple of dive instructors who ended up decompression sickness from diving and had DAN.  The decompression chamber alone can be $10,000 or more. DAN will cover what primary insurance won't. Good investment.

Glad to hear your wife is ok. Your right its nice to have DAN to fall back on. They do a good job and I also feel all divers should be a member.

Yes, and they are a great resource. They diagnosed a case of baroutrama that I had, and saved me a trip to the doctor, as it was a very mild case. The team of doctors and professionals are awesome. They also eloped me understand better the importance of equalizing more often. Can't say enough good things about them.

No,  but should have with the lost luggage. They would have covered my luggage and replaced what I needed if I had known.
