If you were one of the unlucky ones who's dive equipment got flooded in a hurricane how are you cleaning it???

The dive shop I do work for collected the information on the best way to decontaminante your equipment. If you want I will send to to anyone who needs it.

The best way to clean dive gear after a flood in a hurricane would be to soak it in warm soapy water, in a bathtub would work well and that should get rid of a lot of the damage and dirt off of the gear.

What we want to do is rapidly and effectively render contaminants harmless or remove it. Blue Gold, simple green are two of the ones every one has at their reach. What we are useing is Steramine solution. The same solution used for disinfecting breathing lungs in rebreathers. Hope this helps
