Is Fluorocarbon leader really stronger than "main line" fluorocarbon? Is it worth the price?

Fluorocarbon leader is more expensive per foot than "main line" fluorocarbon. Is it worth the extra price you pay for it, or is it OK to buy and use the less expensive fluorocarbon sold in longer lengths?

SaltStrong just did a video about this on their YouTube channel, and so far, it seems like the stuff is the same... i'm never gonna buy "leader line" again - I'm curious if it is also the same for Mono, I commented on their video asking them to do that test as well. I think they will also be testing different brands (maybe some brands really do have a difference between their main line and leader line). will be interesting to see. Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41XV9bjSeTA&t=2s

LOL, I wasn't sure. I had a feeling you probably saw it since it was such a well timed and specific question ;-)

Florocarbon leader gives more action to the lure than mono or braid and florocarbon main line casts far like braid and it is streachy like mono. Florocarbon is totally worth the price because there are so many perks you can cast further, gives more action to the lure, and it is streachy which helps you feel bites.

I agree totally and I use fluorocarbon...but can we save money by using "line" quality instead of "leader" quality flouro??
