After years of diving before SCUBA certification agency's grew I decided to get certified to see if I had missed anything. I had moved to California and went sound to the different dive shops. I found one that was SSI I liked the way they had put everthing together. The other thing I liked was the instructors were being over seen by SSI and had to be connected to a dive shop. Over the years I have been certified by other agency and still like the way SSI conducts business the best. Keep up the good work SSI.

All my recreational certifications were thru NAUI from my old shop in Texas.  Moving to VA, I changed to PADI for Divemaster.  I'm about to get my instructor certification and chose to go back to NAUI for two primary reason.  First, there's more academic freedom in the way classes are conducted when teaching new students under NAUI,  Second, NAUI instructors can freelance and not have to be attached to any one shop.
