Buoyancy, I have seen many divers just trying to figure it out and end up stirring the water up and stepping on the reefs.

Being over weighted. Number one cause of buoyancy problems and bad air comsumption. If you would do a weight check and add 5lbs for the air in your cylender youll be alot mor comfortable in the water column.

Detaching their partner during the dive. Therefore, it’s important to choose your partner carefully. (and prefer someone you already know)

On a trip to the Channel Islands a young lady was getting ready to jump in the water with NO SPG. Thank God a crewmember grab her. They put one on for her thank God. The channel islands are a great dive spot, but cold and not shallow. She was an accident looking for a place to happen.

Getting complacent and thinking nothing will happen to you...

Always do your pre dive safety checks, always make a plan, and always dive the plan.
