Years ago my buddy and I were diving outside Pennecamp Park looking for lobster down in the Keys.  The time frame was just after the movie Jaws came out.  We looked up and there were 6 or 7 huge fish just on the edge of vision .  We started swimming  back toward the boat and the fish followed us.  We wanted going to get back on the boat but the Captain told us to stay in the water. We thought we were going to be lunch that day.

Several years ago, while diving in Belize, a remora approached our dive group. I hadn't ever seen one free swimming nor had I really see one up close, so wasn't sure what it was at the time - but it is a strange looking fish! After making several passes through our group, he decided I was the chosen one and he made several attempts to attach to me. I was getting a little concerned until the Divemaster saw what was going on and helped redirect it. Afterwards we had a good laugh as he described the scene with me swatting the remora away and it trying again and again to attach.

While macro photographing reef life I felt a "presence" and looked over my shoulder to see a barracuda watching what I was doing. I guess he was just curious, but it was a little unnerving so I blasted some air with the purge valve on my regulator to scare him away. Funny now....

Once as 16 years old in italy. Went in the water with My dad. We walkwd out.... A bit too fare. Water up to My cheek. Bouncing a bit around. We saw.... Though the clear water. A rather big shadow. And it came closer. We couldnt really move beause if the water level. Or guess what it was. Suddently it was between My legs.... And something stung My leg. I completely panicked. My dad graped me. And pulled me back on the beach.... I bleed 4 places.... Tiny little cuts. We never figured out what it was.

I was passing through a coral tunnel in Green Turtle and came face to face with a large nurse shark. The tunnel was too narrow for a passing so I just adjusted my buoyancy and stopped. It was actually a wonderful experience. There was absolutely no sign of aggression. After a minute or two the shark, surprisingly, was able to make a U turn and swim away.
