Din or yoke, and why?

Din for me, higher pressure abilities, easy conversion to yoke if needed, and you control the o ring. That’s the big one for me!

I Have both regs. What I do is find out what is being used on the tanks were I am diving. On a local dive where I am bring both it depends on the type of dive, cave, deep etc.

Really depends on the type of diving you plan to do and the area where you will be diving. For normal recreational diving in the US and Caribbean, yoke is by far the most common. Max pressure on most yoke valves is stated at 3500 psi, so for technical diving and advanced specialties like cave diving, where higher pressure cylinders may be used, DIN is typically used. DIN is also more prevalent in Europe.

Always used yoke no issues besides an oring leak but that is rare. Ive seen more pop off when the boat crew is filling than anything and they always replace them.
