We saved a pelican that someone had caught accidentally from a pier while fishing. The angler led it to the beach and several of us went down with a couple of beach towels to drape over the bird to calm it down. Then we used players to get the hook out of his bill. It flew away apparently unharmed.

Several during dives, some in fishing nets, some hat had plastic stuck on them. It’s so sad, to see the pollution, it liberating when you get a chance to save a sea creature.

Sure. Here in the Northeast mostly gulls. Pelicans down south. Once a sea turtle.
