What is most important in selecting a dive location...water temp, visibility, sea life, etc?

For my wife, it’s the temp...80 or above and I don’t have a dive buddy. Me personally, it’s vis. It is so stressful training new divers in low vis environments.

Its really stressful for the students. I have had them panic because of low vis.

I think Vis is the most important. All though I love warm water, I hate wet suits and all the extra weight. If you are in warm, clear, salty water, you are going to have sea life.

Having dove in California and enjoyed the good visibility and the sea life. It was worth getting into a drysuit because I hate the cold. We just came back from Grand Cayman where the visibility was 100 and the water temperature was in the mid 80s. We saw, sharks, eels, lion fish and just to many small colorful fish. I'll take the warm water I hate cold.

I think visibilty. If i can see..... Anything. Everything is better and safer
