What was the most beneficial lesson you learned from your instructor during your Open Water SCUBA diving course?

Staying calm and really try to control not only air use but buoyancy so you do not destroy the environment. We are down there to enjoy nature and observe, not to destroy it and muddy the dive up for everyone else.

That's hard to say, but I think ascent rates and physiology concerning Nitrogen absorption are probably the most beneficial lessons along with equalizing techniques. I really think that everything taught is beneficial or it wouldn't be taught.

Everything underwater is in slow motion (never rush) and diving should always be fun!
