Why would you not wear your wet suit over your skin?

I have a friend who has been diving for a long time always wears his wet suit shout over his skin.

Comfort is the main reason, the other reason is other people dont want to see me naked when I take it off after the dive.

It defeats the sealing of the wet suit over your skin. The wet should go on first making a good seal. Then the skin over the wet suit. Protecting you from fire corals. Etc

I typically wear rash guard shorts and SharkZen shirt then put on my wetsuit. I pull out the neck and fill with water as soon I get int the water. My body warms the water in about 15 seconds and I am comfortable for the rest of the dive.
