Answering Questions(10 points per Up Vote, 15 when selected as best)
- Answer as many questions as you are qualified to answer to improve your chances of the answer getting up votes or selected as best.
- Make your answers thorough and useful. A few words or even a line often isn't enough to provide context for your answer to make it useful. Elaborate on why you answered the way you did so the questioner is assured of value.
- When relevant, offer a link included with what you answer so that the reader can easily learn more (especially relevant for product recommendations and ultra-specific topics).
- Answer questions whether or not they are already answered. If your answer is better than another, it is more likely to get voted up.
Asking Questions(5 points per Up Vote)
- Ask great questions that you would personally find value in having answered, or that you would have found value in having answered in the past. The goal is for the question to be of value to you and/or someone else.
- Use a good single sentence structure when asking the question, and then elaborate on details of what you're asking in the description text area below the question text field.
- There is no limit to how many questions you can ask over time, which improves your chances of more points, but make sure the questions are relevant and useful (i.e. with informational value or entertainment value).
