They are trying with Lionfish derbies and making them commercially available. Fortunately they taste good. One problem is that they live deeper than previously thought. So, if one is killed at 50 ft another comes up from 300 ft. Difficult to keep up.
The Bahamas is doing well. Just returned from the Abacos and didn’t see a single Lionfish.
