I use an air integraged Oceanic pro plus 2 (uses a hose). I think the wirless ones with a transmitter on the 1st stage are cool but if I used one I would also use a pressure guage just for insurance.

I  don't like them. If your diving safe you should have a back up hose style pressure guage. So you are buying and maintaining 2 pieces of equipment for 1 task. I  follow the KISS principal. ...keep it simple stupid.

By "wired" I think you mean connected by a hose (no wires involved).  The dive computer is either attached to the air hose or it is wireless (for example by bluetooth).  Both are reliable.  The biggest difference is cost.  Computers attached directly to an air hose are significantly less expensive.  Those with a sensor that screws into a HP port on your first stage are more expensive.

Personally I am looking forward to less expensive wireless units with the ability to see your buddy's remaining air. They are available but costly.

I have and prefer hose connected air integrated type. I like the concept of wireless but have an issue with the cost and what if?
