Yes, My first dive after my open water certification I was diving in Aruba at 40' the inflator assembly on the rental BC came apart giving me no buoyancy control. I was lucky enough to swim up close to another dive boat which assisted me out of the water. The best part was the fact that I was buddied up with the divemaster who didn't realize I was missing!

That is the very reason I will not use rental gear for an Ocean dive.

Diving in South Caroline on a cold rainy day in an old diesel boat with a plastic canopy over the entire cabin.  Everyone got sick from the fumes.  It was the worst diving experience I've ever had.  I had the taste of the diesel in my throat for days afterwards.

Nope, only good ones. Rough seas sometimes but that's not the boats fault. You know what they say, a bad day at sea is better than a good day at work.

At Nassau, a shark "helped" me up the ladder. At Belize, ours sank. At North Carolina, the captain and crew spent a lot of time leaning over the railing. At Florida, a barracuda had a taste for my fin. At Costa Rica, the crew had to turn back because fuel kept leaking through the duct tape. At Grenada, a couple became in engaged making for a tense trip. We had to be towed at Bonair. I'm going to write a book!

If it wernt for bad luck you would have no luck at all. Have you had any good boat dives?

We were in Barbados gearing up for a dive, the boat caught on fire. Backward roll, here we come!! We had to be towed back in.
