What got you interested in the hobby? I always had a love for water and wanted to see what was down there.

I took a discover scuba class in a pool and wanted to see more than just what was under the eater in a pool. My wife loves snorkeling,  but I cannot hold my breath long enough to snorkel with her. So I decided to get certified for Scuba in order to share our underwater adventures.

I love sharks, I love the water, and a class was being offered when I was in college... couldn't pass up the chance to give it a try and I fell in love with it!

Well, believe it or not my first SCUBA lesson was with Philippe Cousteau, Jacques' son. It was in his home pool in Beverly Hills. After that I was hooked and eventually became a Calypso crew member and underwater photographer for Cousteau.

That is the coolest story of them all.  That would have been amazing.

A friend of mine let me try his gear in a pool many years ago. I've been hooked ever since. He does not dive any more, I went on to become a divemaster, Funny how things work out.

Would go snorkeling and see the divers below. After a few years of this, my travel buddies and I decided we wanted to try diving out. We are so glad we made the decision to get certified.

Growing up in Florida how could you not be a diver. My friends owned dive shops so I dove the oceans lakes, and caves. I never got certified until I moved to California and had been diving eleven years. By the way I started diving in 1960.

Was raised around it both parents were divers and grew up at the islands on our boat. It became very natural for me to like and want to dive. My dad taught me to love and respect the ocean. No regrets

A Cousteau diver!  How amazing and cool that must have been.  That must have been an experience of a lifetime.

My husband and I started diving in our 40s after a snorkeling excursion on a cruise. We wish we had started earlier, but we had children at home and other things going on.

We had friends that were divers and they brought their gear and let us try it in the pool. There was no turning back after that!
