What have you upgraded among your dive equipment, and did you stay with the same brand or switch?

I've been diving for a few years now and just started upgrading a couple pieces of dive gear. I ended up switching my fins from Oceanic to ScubaPro on recommendation from other divers who use them, though I seriously considered a different pair of Oceanic fins. So far I've been happy with the upgrade, wish I'd done it sooner!

i wouldn't call it an upgrade but I have recently purchased Subgear regs anc Bcd. I really like them and they are supported by Scubapro also. Also changed from Aqualung paddle fins to Scubapro jet fins. I like them

I have made the exact same changes. We have 2 dive shops here. One sells Scubapro and the other sells Aqualung. I get much better service and support from the Scubapro shop.

While on a dive trip in little Cayman I saw a friend using an Aeris dive computer with a compass on top. I like it so much I've bought three. One for my wife and one for my son and of course one for Myself. In the BCD area I am now diving a Wicked made by Zeagle. I have a Sherwood, a Dive Rite and a 911 also produced by Zeagle.

I bought my dive gear about 10 years ago - very basic Oceanic set up - Probe BCD, GT3 2nd stage regulator and octo, Oceanic computer, Henderson 5mil wetsuit, boots, XS Scuba mask, second-hand split fins. It has been very serviceable. Our local dive shop sold and serviced Oceanic, so it made sense to purchase this.

Since then I have tried to reduce bulk and weight of my gear. I bought some light weight Aqua Lung Hot Shot fins that are lighter and still have good thrust. Switched to a Scubapro MK25/S600 regulator. I tried several and liked the way it worked for me. I changed to a lighter BCD, Aqua Lung Lotus with a backwing and Air 3 - it is lighter and fits close, the jury is still out on the backwing part. I still use my Oceanic computer and bought a wrist unit of a similar model that I wear as a backup computer. I am still using my XS Scuba mask that I love, but they no longer produce and it is aging from frequent use. I am looking for a replacement, but I do not see anything comparable. I have a backup mask that I do not like. So its a mix of old and new for me.

I have added other wetsuits (7mil and 3mil), several pairs of boots (hard-soled and low rise).
