Have you felt pressured to go deeper or longer than you liked because of an eager dive buddy?

im asking cause i find it hard, to say no more than once. no deeper than the limit ofcourse. but sometimes a new divesite. can make a newbie a bit nervous. and a certain depth will do just fine. for that dive that day. and sometimes you hear about scuba divers that.....kind of do what they want. and that would scare the hell out of me.

No. I have some great dive buddies. Plan the dive and dive the plan. Any one can call a dive off without giving a reason. If I dove with someone that didn't want to dive the plan it would be the last time I dove with them.

You should never feel pressured to do anything associated with diving that makes you nervous.  People have different comfort levels and good divers reslect that. I would encourage a new or nervous diver to do something, but wouldn't pressure someone past their comfort zone. Just say no works for divers too! ;)
