I usually just rent tanks, I have heard from a few divers that it is more of a hassle then its worth. I also have heard the other side that if you do a lot of diving, having your own tank is great. I guess for me since lately I have not been able to dive as much, I just rent tanks and inspect them to make sure everything looks and smells fine.

Well I have about twenty-five tanks, I pick the tanks to match the dive. Cave, double HP 120s, drift dive i match my dive buddy's tank. To clean the bottom of my boat the old steel 72s are my choice.

I have only used aluminum tanks. I have buddies that use steel and I would not mind trying them.

I just rent, usually aluminum 80s. If possible my husband gets 100s and this way we have about the same air left when we ascend. otherwise, i usually have 1500 left in my tank when we have to ascend because he is at 800 or so.

I've tried Steel tanks before, they are nice too. Didn't have to add any weight to myself because the tank is so negatively buoyant.

I don't think i'll ever buy my own tank. Renting is easy

Steel HP100 is what I use. Don't care for alum tanks especially in CA.

All of mine are AL 80's except for one and its a 63 that I use for teaching. I like aluminum because because they will not rust and I know what my weight requirements are for aluminum. I think its all in what you're used to.

Nitrox, better bottom time.  I usually dive for an hour and I feel less tired after multiple dives/days.
