I use an Air 2 , don't have to deal with a additional hose or octo. Very streamlined and efficient.

The dive shop I work for had moved the Octo to the left side that way when you hand it to someone it's right side up. Makes good sense to me. I can always tell when I get a reg. In for service where they were trained by where the Octo is located.

MIne is on the right side. only used for air sharing. air sharing is done right sholder to right sholder. if the hose is on the right it is straight and less chance of pulling out of the recievers mouth.

I keep mine down by my side connected to my BCD, it makes it easier to find and its still out of the way, what about you?

I keep mine below my neck with necklace style attachment.  I provide my primary to a diver in need and switch quickly to my octo .  This is something that I practice with other divers and I brief over prior to diving with a new partner.
