While spearfishing in the Bahamas I had a shot a really large Yellow Jack and did not manage to land a kill shot on him with my Hawaiian Sling. He quickly swam off, with my spear, into the distance and I thought all hope was lost. Not even 5 minutes later I see him swimming back towards me, with my spear, bleeding profusely and he proceeds to die on the bottom right in front of me. I was pretty excited not only to have my spear back but to get the fish as well. I then noticed that this jack did not come back alone but had been followed by a rather large( maybe 8ft) bull shark. This bull was not just cruising by, he was quickly darting back and forth and swimming with purpose. So in order to have something to defend myself I quickly swim over and grab the spear but kick the jack off, figuring he will go for this easy meal. Well that was far from what he was interested in as he hits the jack's body then B-lines straight to me at the surface. I had jabbed him a few times in the face, but he laughed that off and kept coming at me. I managed to get lucky since I was close to this peninsula of jagged water worn rocks. I pulled myself up onto them, nearly snapping my fin in my haste, and managed to then walk back close enough to my boat and safety.
