Do you use a crotch strap with your BCD?

A diving buddy of mine. Dosnt. Causeri it would be on the outside of heste weight belt. Witch would be a mess if it needed to be droped fast

Do whatever keeps you safe. I have a zeagle Wicked BCD and with a strap i can float on the surface flat out.

I do do with my side mount harness, not with my back mount BCD

I took them off and  see no purpose for rec diving, my bc is a rec/tech type so it is configured for both.

I don't and personally don't think anyone should use them their a safety hazard, and could cause many avoidable problems with releasing your equipment.

I see no problem with crotch straps if used properly they can place the BCD exactly where you want it.
