I usually work off of small boats and use a roll entry. For larger vessels where you are entering from greater height, giant stride is usually preferred. Definitely depends on the situation!

Depends on the boat. If I have enough room to maneuver and can get to the back of the boat, I prefer a giant stride entry, so I can see where I'm going. But sometimes the boat is too crowded to get to the back, or there's no swim deck available, so I'll just do a rollback entry from the side.

I like doing the Giant stride, because being tall I hit my back of my head on my tank and lets just say that was not pleasant. I also like the Giant stride, because its like I am literally stepping into another environment.

Depends on how much boat is moving.  I generally prefer giant stride because I can see where I am going and am oriented quickly.  However, if boat is moving too much I will back roll so I don't have to try and maintain balance on pitching boat in all my gear.

Def go for the giant stride, love the bow gate it is a longer drop! The adventure starts before the water.

The grand stride is preferrable for the ability to see your entry in front of you.

I love the feeling of the flip off the side when back rolling.

Mostly, giant stride.

From an inflatable, the roll is much easier!
