I typically dive with a 20 inch fin. Does the size of fin matter on how hard you exert yourself to move through the water. Solid fin or split fin matter?

Larger fins will take more effort to move. Learning to fin properly will benefit you most in the long run. I think things like split fins were developed to compensate for divers that may not have the best technique or leg strength. If you know how to fin properly, any fin is effective.

Yes, it can matter on what you dive and personal preference as well, some people love diving smaller or bigger fin in any condition. I love my split fins but, when the current is strong I have a hard time sometimes.
