Any fishermen in NC...what do you think of the sea trout closure that was just implemented?

There was a significant cold stun event in North Carolina that caused the State to close the harvesting of sea trout by both commercial and recreational fisheries until June 15. This is done to allow the surviving fish to spawn as most sea trout spawn in May.

Seems like a good idea to protect the species.

I read that article and several others about the closure. Hopefully there will be evidence of reproduction. The last time there was a cold stun, they reduced the creel limit and increased the size to keep.
