Here's a fun philosophical question...

Do the makers of fishing lures create them to catch fishermen in the store or fish in the water?

To be honest, I think it is a little of both, there have been a few lures that I have that I picked up and said, this looks cool and put it in my cart hahaha.

I do think it's little bit of both as well...However, lure manufacturer's are coming up with more and more realistic looking lures that may or may not stimulate fish to eat. Looking back at catches I've made over the years I have to say that these types of lures have not helped me. I seem to catch fish on simple, more "old fashioned" lures like bucktail jigs. I have found that the paddle tail type lures out fish others that don't have that vibrating feature.
