Or do you you get a professional to do it?

I generally change them myself but to some extent it depends on the computer. There are lots of wrist-mount and console computers that are easy to change yourself. A lot of them have a replacement battery compartment cover that you can buy to ensure that the o-ring and the threads don't wear with repeated changes.

Yes, I do change my own but then I changed everyone else too. I work for a dive shop and have all the right tools. When you do change your own make sure your not messing the small slots up. Stay safe.

Yes I do, but only after I have my dive store buddy show me first. Once they teach me the nuances, I am good to go. Don’t miss that first critical step though, as not all you tube videos are from pros.

I am not a professional, but I do change computer batteries myself.  With kits that include O-rings, parts, batteries, and silicone its an easy task.

I usually get it done professionally, but I time it so my gear gets serviced all at the same time.
