When you dive NITROX do you know your MOD?

I dove with someone in Florida who had got a tank from his brother with NITROX. I as him his MOD he didn't know what I was asking.

If I dont know the MOD of the mix I am using I DONT dive with it.

He did not need to be diving Nitrox. Nitrox has to be analyzed and recorded by the mixer and the user and both initials and recorded MOD for the mix placed on the nitrox tag on the cylinder. If you dont know the mix, then dont use it. O2 is toxic at depth. AN32 is safe to approx 100 ft. Deeper and you take a chance of getting Oxygen Toxicity. Possible convulsions and death.

Each percentage O2 has a different MOD.  There is usually a chart where you check your EAN the tells MOD at each percentage. NEVER dive EAN without knowing your MOD.
