I'd like something easy to transport but has more features than a go pro.

In my opinion, a GoPro for sure. They are such good quality and for the price you can't beat it. I know they are pretty expensive but it's worth t. I have beat my GoPro around so many times and the case is still in good condition. The quality of the footage is really what makes them great. Some of the cameras have 4K video and 12 MP cameras which are pretty much unbeatable in the underwater camera industry. I have one that shoots in 1080 and it still looks really good for an underwater camera. The new models just get better and better every year so you can't go wrong with getting yourself a GoPro. I don't think you will be disappointed and I don't know what else to recommend.

I use a Sealife micro 2 with bluetooth. It is sealed. Battery is permanent and charged with a cable. Take great pictures especially with a light in order to get true colors. Iwas using a gopro and some how the case seal failed and flooded. Needless to say it was useless after that. lost a lot of money on that one. Not a problem with the sealife

It really depends on what you want to accomplish. The newer GoPros are nice, but if you want to do more, the Sony RX 100 series is great. 20 mp makes for really nice stills and the video quality is nice. Certainly more expensive but worth it if you want great photos.
