If you are wearing booties and still get them, you are probably wearing cheap or incorrect size fins. Make sure you wear the correct size equipment, and foot protection. If you are wearing full foot fins, and they are the correct size, then you may be getting sand in the foot pockets. For the blister wash well, use an antibiotic, and bandage the blister. Again, make sure you use good and correct fitting fins.

I use moleskin over the blisters, then socks (regular athletic socks) under the fin pockets. If possible, add neoprene socks and booties too - more protection = less blisters!

Wear booties and make sure the booties and fins are the correct size for you.

It seems that we need to be very diligent in taking care of open wounds when diving due to the potential for Vibrio vulnificus infection, at least in the Gulf of Mexico. I would use cleanse the wound well (don't pop it intentionally), use antibiotic cream and cover it with a waterproof plastic cover used in hospitals and available at the pharmacy.

Also, do everything possible to prevent blisters. The comments below have already addressed that.

Easiest way is to not get them in the first place. Easiest way I have found to do this is to wear boots and open heel fins. Other than that just give them time to heal if you do get them.

I switched to booties and open fins after the other style gave me a blister.

I've thought about trying a sock.
