Do you learn from other peoples mistakes when it comes to diving?

Absolutely.  It is always good to debrief a dive with other divers.  I have discussed mistakes that were made, myself included.  It's about learning, safety, and becoming a better diver.  Also, if you have DAN insurance, you get their dive magazine which has true accounts of dive accidents and how to better your chances of not having the same issues.

I do, I am a divemaster and I see a lot of mistakes being made. I have made a few myself and I learn from them too. Anyone that hasn't made a mistake while diving has not been diving much.
