Back when I first started diving, BCDs were inflated by mouth, or in an emergency with a CO2 cartridge that was screwed into the trigger. They were not very sophisticated back then.

Good old fashion mouth transfer...inhale in the reg ....exhale into your horse collar BC...ahhhh, those were the days...surprised we lived through it!
