What is your reaction to Trump opening up offshore oil drilling?

It just a disaster waiting to happen.  And in response to the comments...it will NOT get us out of the Middle East and if you believe that you are kidding yourself.  Also, yes we have it in Texas and look how nasty our coastal waters are.  I won't even get in the water, let alone dive, on the Gulf Coast.

I have mixed emotions.  I grew up on the coast of Alabama where we had it already.  So on the one hand, I'm like "Why should everyone else be exempt?" but then I'm also like, "See what we got from Deepwater Horizon brought us?".

Horrible news. We have fought this for years as coastal town after coastal town here in NC, and all along the east coast, have passed resolutions voicing opposition to this. The coastal towns do not want this as it it too much of a threat to tourism and the way of life.

I am for it we must get out of the middle East. It couldn't be any worst then all the hotels on the beach in Florida.

We are already out of the Middle East (oil). We have an excess of oil. Wow...it couldn't be any worse than hotels. How about oil all over the beach, in the water, on the reefs and tons of dead birds and fish. Wow...

He’s an idiot who could care less about the oceans or any environment. All he wants to do is make it easier for millionaires to make more money. I’d like to see a platform off of Mara Lago.

He is an idiot who could care less about anything that affects the environment. I’d love to see an off shore rif off Mara lago. He has been sueing the West Palm Beach airport for years until he has to fly there every weekend.
