What brand of stable fishing kayak do you use, and why did you chose this brand? I'm looking to buy one and there are so many to choose from it gets a little daunting.

I do not know if you can get one depending where you live, but I love my Vibe Kayak and I can stand on top and use it as pretty much a paddle board, I love it, and it is very stable.

I have used Ocean Kayak for fishing as well as Cobra.  Either one of these brands is very stable and depending on the model, they have specific options for fishing gear...etc.

I love my vibe seaghost 110. It is stable enough that I can stand on it. It is also very affordable and I haven’t had any issues with the quality of the kayak, it is very well designed and stable

Since it is a shorter kayak, does it track well? How does it handle overall??

I think it tracks pretty well, the rudder helps. I never thought i'd actually use the rudder, but it has come in handy, especially if there is wind, helps you keep in the direction you want to go and great for when drifting down stream. I use mine primarily for inshore fishing, even in some chop it handled well so far!

I love my Kaku Wahoo 12.5, it is super stable and affordable.  The kayak has an open deck, pre drilled for a micro power pole, rudder ready, setup with several gear tracks.  The kayak tracks very well so no need for a rudder unless you really want one.  Easy to paddle and fairly fast for a super stable kayak.  The company has exceptional customer service, most times you can speak with Kevin the owner directly.

I have looked at those...love the graphics on them. I've heard they are not US made and I like to buy stuff "locally"...

Yes the molded hulls are made out of country as are most unfortunately.  Kevin puts the finishing touches in Florida.  If you are looking for a made in the USA look at Wilderness Systems Radar 135 which can be upgraded to peddle.  That is probably my next one.  Jackson Kayaks also makes the ATAK which is probably the best Paddle Fishing kayak on the market., it was out of my price range for my first which is why I went with the Wahoo.
