How do you feel about sunscreen being banned??

This started in Hawaii, but just not sure how they enforce it..

It’s a good attempt to save the reefs but as with any “environmental safe” products they just don’t cut it. Sunscreen is a difficult one. As it is most don’t do the job in protecting you in and around the water. Few are actually water proof and still work well.

That said, I don’t think the reef safe ones are as good “for your protection “ as they claim for the reefs.

I think it is great..... For the reefs. That is if the New ones i have seen.... Reef safe sun screen, i think ist is called. Work!!! Then thats All I will use, when going in the water.

Completely agree. I use Heliocare pills that give you an SPF 8. Plus an SPF shirt on the surface

Years ago when I was Australia I thought they were going to make a lotion from something  that the reef released to protect its self from the sun. It sounded like a great idea

Certain types should be banned, yes. Those that are 'certified' safe should be allowed. (And one can help themself by wearing a long sleeved UV protector Shark Zen shirt. They work and are comfortable.
