Question

What is your favorite season to dive? I love diving in the summer, because you can carry less gear and I just love cooling down in the water, but for me anytime I can dive, I will.

being in florida, all seasons. though, the summer can be tough for afternoon dives as a thunderstorm is usually rolling through.

Fall and early winter always seemed to be the best diving here. Water is cold year round so it's not a key factor especially in the northern coast. Summer brings plankton and lower VI's at times but a few deg warmer. Not a good trade.

I prefer Summer diving in the states. I like Christmas time in Cozumel.

All depends on what you are interested in seeing.  Whale sharks, hammerheads, threashers, mantas....etc.  there is always a "better" time of year to get the opportunity to see what you want.   As a teacher I tend to dive summers and I have encountered everything I've wanted to see ( but, it tends to be rainy season) .  All worth it
