What are the best fishing pants /outerwear for winter fishing on the kayak?

I really like my Kühl Liberator pants (http://www.kuhl.com/kuhl/mens/pants/liberator-convertible/), even though they are a mens, they fit me very well, and they can convert into shorts (but the zipper is very well hidden). Decent amount of pockets and they dry quick. I wear them not only for kayaking but out and about too. They are a little pricey so look for good sales, i don't by them unless i can find them for cheaper, $50 was the best deal i found so far, but that was when Gander Mt. was going out of Business...

With that said, i find that any quick dry pants can do the job for kayaking. They are typically a lighter fabric, will protect you from the sun, and dry quickly when they inevitably get wet.

Do you wear base layers underneath or are those lined? Looking for something already lined so I won’t have so many layers on , looking like the kid in the Christmas story. Lol

no these aren't lined, but Duluth trading co I believe had some fleece lined pants that are pretty nice, they wouldn't be very quick dry, but they would be warm.

Check out Immersion Research. They have some quality items designed for kayakers. I have an outer shell that I've used here in NC over a long sleeve breathable shirt. Worked pretty well here. I don't think you'll need real heavy stuff in FLA.

Yep , raised in the hill country of Texas so I know how cold we can get..
