Does scuba diving prepare you for freediving, or vice versa?

I would say vice versa. In free diving breath holding is practiced for long periods. In Scuba diving the no.1 and most important rule is to BREATH AND NEVER HOLD YOUR BREATH. In freediving you learn to kick effeciently and equalization techniques that would be a great help in Scuba diving.

I think the only was scuba diving prepares you for free diving is to help you gain a comfort level with the water including at depth. Not really sure how else scuba could with with free diving since the later requires a whole different fitness level and skill set. In the same way, free diving would also help the diver to relax and take in the underwater environment and all that it provides. It's about slowing down and enjoying the experience

I think it is possible for anyone to scuba ,but not all can free dive.
