What’s better - alternate air source as an o to, or integrated, and why?

Good question, as a repair tech I see very little air2s being taken care of unlike Octos. First most air2s are tuned so not to leak. Where Octos are usually better breathers. The other thing is most Air2 owners treat them like the BCD and just rinse the outside.

Cant say one is better than the other but, an alternate such as an Air2 you can eliminate a hose. I have both because I am an instructor and teach both methods of air sharing.

I use an Air 2 and have 3 of them, never had any issues and love the streamline it provides. As for air sharing it is simple, I will hand you my primary as i switch to my Air 2. Some fear them grabbing it out of you mouth, I think you can asses the situation before they get that close and be proactive in the matter.  Be alert.
