What sea life is NOT cool to see?

Shark, sea lions, mola mola, turtles, bait balls, small fry, dolphin, starfish...

What about sea birds? Pelican, osprey, heron, egret, species in transit along the flyways...

Just remember, each paddle dip is an invasion of their space and they will avoid the action, so if you want them close, paddle action must be minimized.

One time when I was in a kayak inshore. This manatee came right up to me and swam next to my boat. I thought this was really cool because I rarely get to see manatees and they are so calm. He swam with me for a solid 20 minutes before swimming away. I have never had one come up to me so close and so long.

I also like when dolphins either trail behind a boat or when I'm in a kayak. They can be very fast when they want and it's hard to see them sometimes. But since they are very docile, they are fun to watch and have follow you.

I just like animals that get real close so you can actually see them more in person than from far away.
